# Matrix

Merlin is a Matrix user you can message from any Matrix app. Message it directly, or invite it to a room so everyone there can use it.

## Linking

Choose **Connect Matrix** in Matrix's dialog on Home, send Merlin a message, then open the link it sends back. You can link one Matrix account.

## Adding Merlin to a room

Invite Merlin to a room. Whoever invites it becomes the room's owner in Merlin.

## Talking to Merlin

Merlin answers every direct message. In a room, it answers when someone mentions it, says its name or replies to it. It replies in the same thread.
