These terms apply when you use Merlin, which is run by Plarza.
Who can use Merlin
You must be at least 16 years old to create a Merlin account.
Adding Merlin to a chat
- Only add Merlin to chats where you are allowed to. When it joins, it tells everyone that it is an AI and that it stores the chat's messages.
- The person who adds Merlin owns it in that chat. They decide who can ask it to do things, and requests from those people count against their allowance.
- Anyone in the chat can opt out with
/forget me.
What you must not do
- Use Merlin for anything illegal, or to harass, deceive or spam anyone.
- Try to reach other people's data, or get around Merlin's limits, permissions or sandbox.
- Resell access to Merlin, or use it to build a competing service.
Merlin's answers
Merlin is an AI and can be wrong. Check anything important before relying on it, and don't treat its answers as professional advice. Before Merlin sends, posts, buys or changes anything, it asks the account owner to confirm, and you are responsible for what you confirm.
Connected apps
When you connect an app, Merlin acts in it on your behalf, and that app's own terms still apply. You can disconnect it at any time.
Plans and payment
- The Free plan includes a small monthly allowance. Pro costs US$9.99 a month and includes a larger one. Both have the same features.
- Allowances are measured in what your requests actually cost and reset each month. When yours runs out, Merlin pauses until the next month.
- You can cancel Pro at any time; it stays active until the end of the month you paid for. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects you.
Ending things
You can stop using Merlin and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Liability
Merlin is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Plarza is not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect.
