Calendar
Find free times, see your events, and add or change them with Merlin.
Ask Merlin things like “when are we all free next week after 6?”, “what’s on tomorrow?” or “add dinner with Sam on Friday at 7”.
Linking
Open Apps on Home, choose Calendar and sign in with Google. You can link more than one Google account.
What Merlin can do with Calendar
- Find times when everyone named is free, without showing anyone’s plans
- Say whether one person is busy at a time, without saying what they’re doing
- List your events with their titles and places
- Create events and invite people, after you confirm
- Move, rename or cancel events, after you confirm
- Tell you when your events change
What Merlin can’t do with Calendar
- Create, change or cancel an event without your confirmation
- Show your events to others in a group unless you approve each time
- Accept or decline invitations for you
- Create calendars or change who they’re shared with
Finding a time for a group
When a group asks when everyone is free, Merlin checks everyone’s calendars and replies with times that work, like “Tuesday 7 to 9 PM works for all five of you”. It doesn’t say who is busy or why. Everyone needs to have linked their calendar and shared it in that chat.
Checking one person
If someone shares facts about themselves in a chat, Merlin can say whether they’re busy at a certain time, but not what they’re doing. These checks are limited, and the person can see when they were asked.
Adding and changing events
Merlin can add events with a title, time, place and guests, and change or cancel them. You confirm each change first. Times are in your timezone.
