Use Merlin in Telegram direct messages and groups.
Merlin is a Telegram bot. Message it directly, or add it to a group so everyone there can use it.
Linking
Choose Connect Telegram in Telegram’s dialog on Home, send Merlin a message, then open the link it sends back. You can link one Telegram account.
Adding Merlin to a group
Choose Add to a group in Telegram’s dialog on Home and pick the group. You become the group’s owner in Merlin.
Talking to Merlin
Merlin answers every direct message. In a group, it answers when someone mentions it, says its name or replies to it. You can send voice notes as well as text.
What Merlin can do with Telegram
- Read and save every message in the chats it is in
- See images, read attachments and transcribe voice notes
- Search the chat’s history, including what’s inside files
- Send files, reply to a specific message and react
- Remember what the chat’s owner and trusted people ask it to
- Post reminders and alerts in the chat
- Answer inside forum topics, keeping each reply in its topic
What Merlin can’t do with Telegram
- Post in any chat other than the one it was asked in
- Edit or delete other people’s messages
- Kick, ban, mute or otherwise moderate members
- Make or join calls, or send voice notes
Removing Merlin
Remove Merlin from a chat in its settings on Home, or remove it from the group in Telegram. Unlinking Telegram on Home deletes everything kept from your Telegram account.
